Had a good weekend. Planted stuff. Tomatoes, cucumbers, brussels sprouts. Of course, basil. Hurt all over, but slept a lot and felt better. Did not go to the Cow Parade, but did go to dog agility trials on Saturday, with friend Aimee. As always, it was a hoot. I love seeing all the dogs, of every ilk. And it's really hilarious watching people 'walk' the course. Really, most of them dance it, signalling and talking to their imaginary dogs. It's as much fun as watching the real runs, maybe better. We sat in lawnchairs in the sun and got burned and dehydrated and had ice cream after, and then wicked headaches from not drinking enough water. The most perfect, simple summer day.
This week, reflect on all the simple and wonderful things in your life. Dogs, basil, ice cream, sunlight or rain, whatever floats your boat. Things that don't cost much, but are wonders in their way. Write them, draw them. And be grateful.
