Since it's such a fine day, and I'm feeling tramendously sick (stupid fibro!)and onviously can't even spelllll, I suggest we take the weekend off, and just enjoy being outside. Let's cut ourselves some slack and be unapologetic about it!
Is happiness like a bolt of lightning striking haphazardly when you least expect it? Or can it be controlled, even created?
I think the latter is true. I've done it. I think I can teach you to do the same. I am starting the Save Your Life Project as an experiment to see if I'm right. Also, as a kind of testing ground for the book I'm writing, naturally entitled Happiness Can Save Your Life.
In a nutshell: I will post 2 times a week, Monday and Friday, let you know what the Save Your Life exercises are for the day. You can do them, and comment or not. (Please comment, it's more fun.)
How to do the exercises: Take 20 minutes, a notebook and a pen. Commit an "Act of Attention" (see posts from 6/4 & 6/5 2007) to the object, theme, etc. I suggest in the exercise. Then write or draw whatever comes into your head - try for the positive only. That's it.
